Feeling in the Heart at home

It can be great fun to visit your own city in order to see your small universe in new light. I spend a recent night with my six years old son in hear of city at Westin Melbourne with same thing thinking to see taste of commercial and cultural fare.

My son pronounced ‘hell-tel’ as hotel and he was on the money in many examples. But it was very good to arrive at small hotel to revive my spirits. There can be banish of humdrum routine of home with combo of laundered linen, 24 hours room service and sparkling marble bathrooms and all this can be helpful to achieve the company of six year old with concept of R&R.

The check in of Westin was 2pm but I was eager to go there and we dropped out bags off at 11am. We were informed that room was already available and our request was accommodated for higher floor. I made this request on the basis of tripadvisor.com., according to which the lower floor of hotel seemed hemmed in which is facing Regent Theatre.

You can overlook the city square from the nicest rooms of the hotel from looking at hotel website and all tripadvisor.com talk. The view of our room was in other direction. There was plenty of light in the room and quality furnishing and it seemed like lounging in mushroom risotto.

The highlight of the room was entire stay for the six years old and memorized the code of Alan Greenspan with the alacrity.

There was ‘Heavenly Bed’ in each rooms of the Westin chain. I read about comment of tripadvisor over lack of cushion tops and density to warrant the heavenly description. The bed was very comfortable and I made no measurement about heavenly bed experience up to the American Westin. The linen was also very good which satisfied all dreams and hopes which could be wished.

The bathroom was very luxurious along with bed room which was also very comfortable. There was hand contraption with shower and large tub and freebies were also adequate to provide fun. There were no slipper but fluffy toweling robes were available.

The quality of hotel can be measured by the call reception to explain when you can open a window. It is no luck in the first case but only one call was required for assistance and the advice was swift and it seemed great beside lights.

The indefinable mood was the particular good thing about the Westin. The location is in the heart of city and you can have City Square view from its large windows. The atmosphere in the couch filled lobby was cheerful which was large as well.

There is Martini Bar at one end of the ground floor and we visited there before going out for dinner and on to film. There was lots of buzzing with Saturday night fever. We went to the aqua area of the basement in the next morning which has long lap pool with good sauna and steam rooms.

There was buffet in the Allegro Restaurant of the hotel after breakfast with all standard fare including omelets fruits, eggs, pastries, and juices and everything was of high quality. The staff was so much friendly and waiters were furnished with Charlie and presented coloring books at the breakfast. I visited and stayed at the Park Hyatt and Crown Towers and these two hotels were more luxurious than Westin with great pool areas and sumptuous rooms but the location and staff of Westin is simply unbeatable.
